The visibility was limited by the thick fog ahead. Ten melee attackers looked ahead cautiously and the other three spear hurlers behind, geared up for any unexpected possibilities. Using his skills, the hero behind summoned two treants from the forest beside to scout the route.
Then, I pressed the button "F10" and paused the game. Feeling hot and stuffy, I removed my earphone to rose to get a sip water. It was around 09.00 pm. Faintly, I heard my name was called.
"Alex...."
I paused momentarily. I recognized the voice. It was the voice of the 50++ years old landlady calling my name. Opening the door, I went downstairs to answer her call which I did not expect what had happened next would be quite a scene to me.
Laying down and facing upwards at the bottom of the stairs, my landlady's head was covered with streams of red blood oozing like spilling strawberry juice!
She had fallen from the stairs while rushing down. It was my first time seeing so many blood on the floor and on a person. Not knowing what to do, I immediately sprinted down the stairs and held her up to the sink to wash away the blood off her hands. Then, I brought her to sit down and searched around her house for bandage. However, she did not kept bandage in her house.
The blood was still flowing profusely off her head dripping to her pairs of jeans and clothes. Fetching the towel off her wardrobe, I pressed the towel on head to stop the blood. Groping my handphone, I immediately called for family members.
The landlady knowing me calling her family, immediately stood up and called one of her neighbor instead. Later, I understood that she planned to go to Genting, which I assumed to the casino. Recalled on what her niece told me before, her family is against her gambling habit.
5 minutes later, she was sent to the clinic for 4 stitches and warded in General Hospital for observation. Returni g to the crime scene, I studied the stairs and the blood stains as well as her vertical wound on her forehead.
She explained that she hit against the glass at the wall. Looking around, I discovered that that claim is rather impossible. if she impacted against the hard and thick glass, she would have fainted instead. And the most evident point is she was facing upwards when I found her.
My deduction is:
1. She was rushing down the stairs.
2. She did not hold on to the grip.
3. Her long pants tripped her.
4. A human who is falling will definitely try to hold on to something. I guessed her left hand was occupied by her bag and she tried to hold to the wall with right hand but could not sustain. Then her head hit the stair and slide down.
